If you are new to running, or have been trying it for a while and want to improve, why not come along to a training session and speak to one of our qualified coaches or the other members?
Every year we run several popular Introduction to running courses which aim to help people with the challenges that all new athletes encounter such as training, pacing, avoiding injuries, safety and nutrition. It is designed for complete novices to intermediate level runners and the aim of the course is to build up to taking part in your first race.
It is run by a UKA qualified coach and assistants.
The next course will start in the Spring, with the precise date to be confirmed. We will be meeting from 5.45pm the wishing well on Salthouse Field on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The course runs for 8 weeks of 45 minute sessions, on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The price is just £10 to cover costs.
The minimum age is 16.
