2018 saw the successful introduction of two new competitions: Wear The Shirt and Personal Bests. These, alongside the 50+ fixtures offered in the Run of 18 meant we could have raced ourselves silly. We’ve decided to scale back the list of fixtures in the Run of 18 competition, change the format slightly to a Club Championship, and offer realistic target races for all members.
New for 2018! The Personal Best competition is designed to offer Clevedon AC athletes another way to have their season of racing and their performance improvements recognised, regardless of age, gender or ability. To help the club's runners maintain motivation for training during the winter or busier times, the PB Competition may offer the incentive and be rewarded for all that hard work.
Congratulations to those that made 2018’s Run of 18 a success. The winner in the men's competition was Steve Wood and in the women's it was Elaine Heyes. For 2019 the competition will be slightly different so please read on for the new rules and races.
If you haven’t been involved before please ask Luke at training how it works, or read the rules below.
Following its success in 2018it's back for 2019! The Wear The Shirt competition is designed to enable any Clevedon AC member, regardless of age, gender or ability to have an equal opportunity to win a prestigious prize at the annual Clevedon AC awards. Furthermore, the intent is to encourage members to race a little more often and in doing so advertise and promote the club locally and nationally.
