Towpath Series Success!

Results from the final race plus series prizes – by Steve Wood

Friday 19th August saw the fourth and final race of the GWR Towpath series for 2022. The last race is a shorter 5k event and conditions on the night were good.

Only 5 CAC runners were there but represented the club impressively with Sam Tabberner leading from start to finish to take another dominant victory (his second of the series). Next in 6th place and first V50 was Steve Wood.

Next home for the club in 11th position, and first V40, was Lee Southernwood closely followed by Matt Crocker 13th and Tom Abrahams 16th. No official times available yet.

Series prizes were also given out on the night with Sam winning the overall series, Lee winning the V40 category and Steve winning the V50 category.

Great running from all and fantastic to see the club scooping up the honours both on the night and for the series.
