FoD Autumn Half and England Debut for Steve 🍂

Race Round-up…..Part 3

It was an extra special day for the club at the Forest of Dean Autumn Half Marathon.

Georgia, Ben B, Matt C, Steve W and Ben S enjoyed excellent conditions along the trails, on a stunning loop through the heart of the forest.

Matt, Steve and Ben B were delighted to pick up the 1st Male Team prize with respective finish times of 1:30:43, 1:20:58 and 1:23:06. Ben S was next home for the club in 1:41:10, followed by Georgia who completed the event for the first time, in 2:06:46. Top results all round!

As you can see from the pictures, our Men’s Captain, Steve Wood is wearing an England vest. Following a great performance at the Spring FoD Half earlier in the year, Steve qualified to represent the England Masters trail team, competing against Wales in the Autumn half. On his debut, Steve put in a strong effort for the team, finishing in 25th position, achieving 4th MV50 and 2nd England V50. Many congratulations!
