Gloucester Running Festival

Half marathon event – Sunday 31st March

Thank you to Steve Lambert for his report from Sunday’s race:

“3 Clevedon AC runners took part in the inaugural Gloucester half marathon on Sunday 31 March. 

Apart from a stiff breeze in parts the weather conditions were great, however as the 10k was being run at the same time it made for a busy and congested start. 

Once away though, the fairly flat route around the centre of town, then along closed roads to Elmore and Quedgley, a return route along the canal towpath to Gloucester docks, then a brief diversion back through town led to the finish, for a reasonably flat, fast run. 

Although not much support in the countryside or on the towpath sections there was plenty of support in the town.
