Great running in Newcastle and Taunton

Road and Trail Half Marathon Events

On Sunday 10th September Clevedon AC members took part in two contrasting half marathon events…

Georgia Barrett headed up to Newcastle to compete in the epic Great North Run. This was her first time taking part and also her debut race representing the club – despite the humid conditions Georgia had a great run and really enjoyed the experience.

Tanya Baker-Gill and Helen Ball headed down to Taunton and took on the Blackdown Hills trail run. This is a challenging course with several miles of climbing from the start. With an additional thunderstorm this year it made for a tough race! Both Helen and Tanya were delighted to finish 1st and 2nd respectively in their age group. This was also Tanya’s first race for Clevedon AC.
