London Marathon 2024 🎉

Sunday 21st April

Last Sunday saw 7 Clevedon AC runners compete in the London Marathon with fantastic results all round!

Ben Akif won the club ballot for this year’s allocated place, fulfilling a long held wish to take part in the epic event:

“It’s been on my bucket list for over 30 years and on Sunday I finally achieved it! The whole day was just amazing, the route around London, the incredible support and atmosphere and we even got lucky with the weather and I’m so chuffed with my time of 3:26:20!

So honoured to represent the club and I look forward flying the Clevedon AC flag in many more races still to come”.

There were also PB’s for Theresa Goldstone who was delighted to knock 9 minutes off her 2023 result, finishing in 3:54:41, and Mark Williams who paced well and finished strong in 2:46:20.

Ryan Kestle had another successful result in this event, crossing the line in 2:49:43 – a particularly special achievement this year having completed the historic Boston Marathon only 2 weeks previously.

Tom Gange (2:48:22), Ben Sharp (3:17:30) and Tim Nabosi (2:51:14) also had great results and congratulations to Tim for raising money for the Young Minds charity.
