Race Round Up….Part 1 🏁

Off-road action!

The last couple of weeks have seen a bumper crop of races taking place, including plenty of off-road action!

Luke and Jonah took on the Over The Hills MT Race, hosted by Avon Valley Runners and featuring a legendary river crossing.

Jonah flew around the course, finishing in 5th place in a cracking time of 46:34. Luke celebrated his first race in a new age category by picking up the 1st MV50 prize!

Several members headed to the hills to compete in the popular Mendip Muddle; a tough 20km event hosted by Weston AC. Mike lead the Clevedon team home in 1:27 (4th) followed by Stuart in 1:32 (8th), Matt in 1:36 (12th), Joe in 1:50, Tom in 1:56 and Claire in 2:09. Congratulations to Matt who also claimed 1st place in the MV50 category.

Baaba enjoyed the Bideford 10 miler, a fast course that uses part of the Tarka Trail, rewarding runners with stunning views of the River Taw and Torridge. Conditions were favourable and Baaba had a great race, knocking 3 minutes off last year’s time and claiming 3rd MV60.

Stroud Half Marathon saw some super speedy results with Jack R over the line in 1:20, closely followed by Trixie who was delighted to come in at a new best time of 1:25. It was also a PB for Polly who finished in a fantastic time of 1:31.
