Welsh Castles Relay 2026 🏰
200 miles, 20 runners, great results!
Congratulations to everyone involved in the Welsh Castles Relay over the weekend!
It was another epic event with 65 teams from across the UK competing in the historic 20-stage relay. Split across 2 days, the race started at Caernarfon Castle on Saturday morning, finishing at Cardiff Castle on Sunday afternoon, with an overnight stop in Newtown.
Everyone ran well and the cool conditions were favourable compared to previous years. The team was delighted to finish in 13th position – a fantastic achievement against some much larger clubs.
We also had 2 Stage Wins, from Jenny Morgan on her Castles debut and Tom Gange on the notorious Drovers leg, winning him a King of the Mountains trophy – well done both!
Huge appreciation goes to the organising committee, the drivers and the support crew, who did a top job managing the logistics and looking after the runners – a great team effort all round!
